![]() That was a big part of my thought process. I'll add that as you already have an expensive micro looper/delay pedal, maybe consider pairing it with something like the NightSky rather than overlapping the Mood with the Microcosm. ![]() It looks like an impressive piece of kit but in the end I went for the IJ because I already have stereo reverb, delay, modulation and looping covered with other expensive pedals, so there was too much overlap with what I already have. I think you could plug straight into it (maybe with a fuzz/od in front) to create amazing soundscapes and ambient stuff. Then on top of that you have the effects (Glitch, Micro Loops, Granules and Multidelay) to get really wild and wacky. It has stereo reverb and echo (that can be used standalone) plus a looper, pretty much the basics that you need to create soundscapes. My conclusion was that the Microcosm is pretty much a standalone ambient soundscape machine. I decided to get the Infinite Jets instead. Knoxville’s Hologram Electronics has been at the forefront of creative (or rather, “out there”!) effects pedals since the release of their debut device, the Dream Sequence, followed by the even more popular Infinite Jets.Well I don't own a Microcosm but I came very close to buying one, I spent weeks looking at every video and review I could find. At the heart of the pedal are 11 unique effects (three micro loops, three granule, three glitch and two multi-delay) with four presets each, for a total of 44 preset variations. Phrase Looper with many configuration options They are near completely different machines, and would say for soundscapes Microcosm is the king. It features four sampling effectsBlur, Synth, Glitch and Swellthat can be used to create endless sustain, glitching granular loops, and lush ambient textures that. I prefer the Infinite Jets myself but only because I can set and forget and get back to playing (this took me years to figure out. Mainly because it’s not really a multifx like the Microcosm. Dream sequence is more rhythmic and interactive. Hologram Electronics Infinite Jets 425 - Tracks the dynamics of your playing and samples the signal, then reinterprets both as new sounds using two independent channels. They’re both ridiculously complex pedals (I’ve never used a manual more), but comparatively, the infinite jets is far more straightforward. Mirocosm + any sort of midi control is an absolute powerhouse setup. The Microcosm is a truly unique pedal from Hologram Electronics, but that’s hardly surprising unique is precisely what we’ve come to expect from the masterminds behind the Infinite Jets pedal This pedal is many things: a looper, granular sampler, delay, reverb, pitch modulator, filter. ago Both can store presets, as far as I know. The list goes on, but at its core it is a. Hologram Electronics has introduced Microcosm, a new ‘effects toolkit for adventurous musicians’. Its a looper and granular effects pedal that lets you slice and dice your sound on the fly, without resorting to DAW backup. The Microcosm offers 11 different effects and a looper that can capture up to 60 seconds of stereo audio. The effects let you slice, stretch, rearrange, and manipulate your audio in a variety of ways. Because the word “creature” can be used to describe the monster, humans, and even Williams, it can be anything in the world that is created by someone and it can have no definite connotation behind it. The “one creature” is referring to Williams, who is a sweet and beautiful child. Elizabeth says to Justine, “Oh! How I hate its shews and mockeries! When one creature is murdered, another is immediately deprived of life in a slow torturing manner,” (Shelly 108). However, by examining how Elizabeth refers Williams as a “creature”, it is clear that creature can apply to anything, even without a negative connotation. Indeed, when Frankenstein applies the word “creature” to the monster, there is definitely a negative and fearful meaning on the word. ![]() Yet some readers may challenge my view by insisting that the definition and my belief do not necessarily eliminate the negative connotation in the word. The word “creature” does not only apply to the monster that is created by Frankenstein, but also applies to humans who are created by their parents. By using the word “fellow-creatures”, the monster agrees that humans are also creations, just are created in different ways. The monster says to Frankenstein, “You, my creator, abhor me what hope can I gather from your fellow-creatures, who own me nothing? They spurn and hate me,” (Shelly 119). When the monster narrates his story to Frankenstein about humans’ mistreatment to him, he refers human beings as “creature”.
